The Sealed Feed Chute is a core auxiliary component of telescopic belt conveyors and fixed belt conveyors. It is mainly used to constrain material trajectory, prevent material spillage and guide accurate material feeding during the conveying process. It is suitable for conveying scenarios of bulk materials (coal, sand and gravel, grain, etc.) and piece goods, and can effectively improve conveying efficiency, reduce material loss and optimize the operating environment.


Product Application

This Sealed Feed Chute is installed at the feeding end, discharging end or intermediate transfer point of the belt conveyor, with its core functions including:

Guiding materials to be conveyed along the central trajectory of the belt to prevent materials from deviating from the belt and spilling to both sides of the conveyor;Buffering the impact force of falling materials, reducing the wear of materials on the belt surface and protecting the conveyor belt; preventing materials from splashing due to the influence of air flow and vibration during conveying, improving dust pollution and material waste at the operation site; adapting to materials of different particle sizes and viscosities, and ensuring stable and accurate material feeding (e.g., material guiding at the feeding end and material guiding for docking with other equipment at the discharging end).


Scope of Application

This guide chute is applicable to all types of belt conveyors (telescopic, fixed, mobile, etc.), and is suitable for materials including but not limited to:

Bulk materials: Coal, sand and gravel, gravel, grain, ore, chemical raw materials, etc.;

Piece goods: Packaged cargo, parts and components, etc. (The inner diameter of the guide chute needs to be customized according to the material dimensions).

Applicable conveyor parameter range: Belt width 500-2000mm, rated conveying capacity 10-1000t/h, suitable conveying inclination angle 0°-18° (customization required for special inclination angles).

Robust Structure: Fabricated by welding high-quality steel plates, it features high overall rigidity, impact and wear resistance, and is suitable for high-frequency and heavy-load conveying scenarios.


Excellent Sealing Performance: Wear-resistant sealing rubber strips are fitted on the inner side of the guide chute, which closely adhere to the surface of the conveyor belt and effectively prevent material spillage and dust leakage.


Easy Installation: Adopting a modular design, it allows quick installation and disassembly according to the on-site dimensions of the conveyor, and is adaptable to the telescopic adjustment requirements of telescopic conveyors.


High Adaptability: The length, inner diameter, inclination angle and material of the guide chute can be customized according to material characteristics, belt width and blanking position.


Easy Maintenance: Wear parts (sealing rubber strips, wear-resistant liners) can be replaced quickly without disassembling the entire guide chute, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.


Structure Composition

This Sealed Feed Chute is mainly composed of the following components (arranged in assembly order), which work in coordination to ensure the material guiding and sealing effects;


Chute body: As the core component, it is welded from Q235 or Mn13 wear-resistant steel plates and features a U-shaped or trough-shaped structure. It is used to contain and guide materials, with its inner diameter customized according to the adapted belt width.


Sealing device: Comprising inner sealing rubber strips and a top dust cover (optional). The sealing rubber strips are made of wear-resistant rubber, fit closely to the surface of the conveyor belt, and prevent material spillage and dust dispersion.


Wear-resistant liner: Mounted on the bottom and inner side of the chute body, it is made of wear-resistant alloy or polymer materials, which reduces the abrasion of the chute body by materials and extends the service life of the chute body.


Mounting bracket: Used to fix the guide chute on the conveyor frame. The bracket allows height and angle adjustment, adapting to different installation positions and conveying inclination angles.


Buffer device (optional): Installed at the feed inlet of the guide chute, it adopts a rubber buffer plate or spring buffer structure to cushion the impact force of falling materials and protect the conveyor belt and chute body.


Connecting components: Including bolts, nuts, gaskets and other parts, used for the fixed connection of various components to ensure structural stability (all connecting components are anti-corrosion treated and suitable for outdoor or humid environments).


Working Principle

During operation, materials enter the guide chute through feeding devices (such as hoppers and chutes). Restrained by the chute body, they move steadily along the central trajectory of the conveyor belt to prevent deviation from the belt. The sealing rubber strips fit tightly to the conveyor belt, preventing materials from spilling through the gap between the chute body and the belt. The wear-resistant liners reduce friction loss between materials and the chute body, and the buffer device (if equipped) mitigates the impact force of falling materials, protecting the conveyor belt and chute body from damage.


For telescopic belt conveyors, the guide chute can coordinate with the telescopic movement of the conveyor. Through adjustable brackets or a modular design, it is ensured that the guide chute is accurately aligned with the conveyor belt at all telescopic strokes without compromising the material guiding effect.
