External Motorized Pulley

As a widely used drive unit in belt conveyor systems, the externally mounted motorized pulley adopts a design with an external motor and an integrated gear reducer inside the drum shell, forming a unique structure of external motor and built-in reduction mechanism.

Developed on the basis of conventional separate drive units (motor–gear reducer–drive pulley) and built-in motorized pulleys, the external motorized pulley not only inherits the compact structure of built-in motorized pulleys but also overcomes their shortcomings such as poor motor heat dissipation and limited power rating.

1. Flexible Installation

·The product is directly fixed to the conveyor frame via shaft end brackets on both ends, which greatly shortens the installation period. It features a compact overall structure and saves installation space.

·Meanwhile, it supports various installation angles including horizontal, inclined and curved, and can adapt to diverse conveyor layouts.

2. Excellent Heat Dissipation

·It adopts an external motor design, with the motor and the pulley body arranged in a completely separate structure. Heat is dissipated via natural air cooling or an independent cooling system, allowing operating heat to be rapidly released to the outside.

·This effectively resolves poor heat dissipation issues such as motor overheating and overload burnout commonly found in built-in motorized pulleys, and greatly improves the continuous operation stability of the equipment.
