Assists in conveyor belt direction changing and guiding

The head discharge drum is the main direction-changing component of the conveyor belt, while the pulleys play an auxiliary guiding role, restricting the lateral swing of the conveyor belt during the direction-changing process, ensuring the conveyor belt fits closely to the drum surface, preventing the conveyor belt edge from rubbing against the drum end covers and frame, and reducing belt edge wear.


Fine-tune the conveyor belt tension

Some pulleys are equipped with adjustable brackets; by adjusting the installation height or horizontal position of the pulleys, the wrap angle and tension of the conveyor belt can be slightly changed, solving the problem of slack and slipping caused by conveyor belt elongation and ensuring the effective transmission of driving force from the discharge drum.


Optimize discharging effect and prevent material adhesion

Low running resistance, conveyor belt-friendly

The pulley adopts sealed deep groove ball bearings for flexible rotation, realizing rolling friction with the conveyor belt. Its running resistance is far lower than that of sliding friction, which will not add extra driving load to the conveyor; the elastic coating can buffer the contact pressure and prevent scratches on the conveyor belt surface.

The brackets are mostly designed with chute or hinged structures, enabling two-way adjustment of height and horizontal position, and are suitable for the head discharge stations of conveyors with different belt widths (500~2200mm);

Easy maintenance and low failure rate

Sealed bearings are dustproof and waterproof, requiring no frequent grease filling with a maintenance cycle of 6~12 months; the worn pulley roller can be replaced individually without disassembling the entire bracket, reducing operation and maintenance costs.


The installation position and height must be precisely controlled

The pulley must be kept parallel to the head discharge drum, and the roller surface should be perpendicular to the center line of the conveyor belt to prevent unilateral wear of the conveyor belt.


The contact pressure between the pulley and the conveyor belt must be moderate; excessive pressure may cause over-stretching of the conveyor belt, while insufficient pressure will fail to achieve guiding and tensioning effects. The general standard is that the conveyor belt has no obvious slack and no deviation.


Overloading or subjecting to impact loads is strictly prohibited.

The pulley has a limited load-bearing capacity and cannot be used as a load-bearing component; a buffer device must be installed at the feed inlet to prevent materials from directly impacting the pulley, which may cause roller deformation or bearing damage.


Regularly inspect the operating status

Inspect the flexible rotation of the pulley regularly for abnormal noise or jamming. If the bearing is damaged, replace it in a timely manner to prevent the rolling friction from turning into sliding friction and scorching the conveyor belt.

Check whether the fixing bolts of the bracket are loose to prevent pulley displacement from causing conveyor belt deviation; clean the materials adhering to the roller surface to avoid affecting the guiding effect.


Use in conjunction with the head sweeper

The pulley cannot replace the function of a sweeper. A conveyor belt sweeper must be installed behind the head discharge drum to promptly clean residual materials on the belt surface and prevent damage caused by materials being pinched between the pulley and the conveyor belt.
